GAS ARC WELDING WIRE SG2

MIG / MAG WELDING WIRE FOR NON-ALLOY STEELS

MIG / MAG welding wire is a high strength non-alloyed gas arc (MIG / MAG) welding wire used for welding general structural steels, pipe steels and cast steels. CO2 (carbon dioxide) or mixed gases depending on the thickness of the material to be welded can be used as shielding gas. It is used in the production of steel construction, machine, tank, boiler as its general area of use. Preheating of the material may be required depending on the base metal thickness and carbon equivalent. The thin and homogeneous copper coating on the wires increases the electrical conductivity and the resistance of the wire against rusting. An increase of 20-50 N / mm² is obtained in the yield and tensile strength of the weld metal compared to SG2 type wires. High silicon also reduces the discontinuities on the surface of the weld seam and enables smoother and healthier weld seams to be obtained.
